Reducing all the graphics
A pretty basic thing to reduce the lag on fivem, but most people don’t do it. We recommend doing this and put
- MSAA or FXAA. Answer? Both, depends on the pc, Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing can work better on a pc rather the Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing. Test them. Usually MSAA is better on any pc so try that.
- VSync. Yes, but no. I mean, if you turn it off you may see the screen tearing, but you have unlimited fps.
- Population density e variety. Yes turn that shit off, no one wants NPCs on GTA let’s be honest.
- Grass. Yes turn it down, a lot of fps and more will come.
- Water reflection? What the heck is that. I don’t want to see another world reflected.
- From 4k-2k to 1080 or even 720p. Ugly? Yes. More fps? Yes
- Distance scaling. Turn that shit down you don’t want to be in LSIA and render the whole Paleto for no reason.
Fivem’s settings
In a recent update, the Cfx.re team added a new setting to fivem to fix the lag while having an NUI opened. We’re talking about “NUI in-process GPU”. An option that should prevent the lag while having NUI open.
Next, we have the Reduce Blur setting. We recommend putting that off.
Fivem version
Another important thing that can prevent crashes, and freezes is to play the latest stable release. To do this simply go to the fivem setting menu while you are in the server select menu and click on “Release”. By doing this the game will automatically restart and download that version.
Caches
Another important aspect to don’t underrate is to clean the caches. The cache can improve the loading time and other important things but if you switch servers on a daily basis you should learn how to clean them here. We still recommend doing this every once in a while.
