Welcome back, today I’ll show you how to install and use OpenIV, this way you can create your own skins and models for your fivem server.
Requirements
In order to be able to install and use OpenIV you need to have an original copy of GTAV, if you don’t have one you can click here and buy one*. Once you have bought an original copy of the game you need to activate the game in the rockstar games or on steam. It depends on which platform you buy it.
Installation
To install OpenIV follow this link, this will led you to the official page of OpenIV. Here click on “download now”. Once you’ve installed OpenIV open it and link the GTAV installation folder. The location depends on your preference, but I will link you here to the default link of the Steam installation path, and the Rockstar’s one.
Steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\ Rockstar: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V
Once you’ve linked the GTAV path it will take a bit trying to decrypt or similar things.
Using OpenIV
So, to use OpenIV, click the icon on the desktop, select “Windows” under “Grand Theft Auto V” and wait few secs. Now that it’s open you can modify skins, models, and even game string with this. Therefore you need to click on the little button on the top right which is labeled: “Edit mode”. If you wish to change a vehicle skin you can check this guide out.
