Ever wondered how you can bind commands with your keyboard on fivem? This is the right place where you can be, in fact, today I’ll explain to you how to bind commands. Without any further ado, let’s get started!
The first thing you should do is identify which key is already in use from other scripts. Once you know which key is not in use, you can bind that to a command.
Binding the command
As we said before you need to know if the key is in use. Don’t worry if the key you want is in use, a good server will give you the chance to change all the keybindings. This can be done by going thru the setting under the voice “FiveM”. Here you’ll find a full list of them. Now that you are ready to bind the key press f8 and write this to the console:
bind keyboard key "command"
You can customize, obviously, the key which can be something similar: “a”, “h”, and some many others. And the command. Note, if your command contains spaces you need to put that into “”, so the game will take all of the command.
Unbinding the command
In order to unbind commands from the keyboard on fivem you need to remember what key you bound. So now just copy this command to the console, which can be opened with f8:
unbind keyboard key
This command is pretty self-explanatory, you just need to replace “key” with the key you bound.
Seeing all bindings
To see all bindings use the command: bind, this will show you all the binding that are set.
